What are the Windows system requirements?
- Microsoft Windows XP (Home or Professional), 2000 Professional, or Windows Vista (IE only).
- Minimum 64 MB of RAM; 128 MB or more is recommended.
- Any one of these browsers:
- Netscape Communicator 7.x
- Microsoft Internet Explorer 5.x or newer
- Firefox 1.0.4 or newer (with the latest ebrary Reader)
- Mozilla 1.7 or newer (with the latest ebrary Reader)
- Minimum 5 MB hard drive space available.
- Access to the Internet (via dial-up or broadband connection).
- Netscape 6, Opera, and other browsers are not supported.
What are the Mac OS system requirements?
- Mac OS X, 10.1 or newer
- Minimum 128 MB of RAM; 512MB or more is recommended.
- Any one of these browsers:
- Safari 1.1 or newer
- Firefox 1.0 or newer (with the latest ebrary Reader)
- Minimum 5 MB hard drive space available.
- Access to the Internet (via dial-up or broadband connection).
- Netscape 6, Opera, Mozilla and other browsers are not supported.
Do I need any special hardware or software to use ebrary?
There is no special hardware required to use ebrary, but you do need to install the free ebrary Reader software to view documents, print and copy text, and take advantage of other sophisticated research technology.Why do I need the ebrary Reader?
The ebrary Reader gives ebrary much of its rich functionality, including InfoTools.- View the entire contents of a document

Without the ebrary Reader's ability to protect copyrighted content, we would not be able to offer you such a wide selection of up-to-date titles.
The ebrary Reader installs in seconds, and there is usually no need to restart your computer. You may need to refresh your browser. For more information, please the ebrary Reader section.
Why can't I use WebTV or Linux/Unix?
At this time, the ebrary Reader is only supported for Windows and Mac OS. With WebTV, you can search for documents but you can't view text.Support for Linux/Unix browsers is being developed at this time.
